Quinn, Darling...

Incomplete, joyfully haphazard, but hopefully entertaining or enlightening. British Columbia-based, currently in unceded Coast Salish Territory, genderqueering wrench-pulling person of interest (whatever that means).

I post about industrial stuff and somtimes activism stuff and lots of feelings and nonfeelings and observations and poetic mashes and whatnot. Mostly whatnot.

A low-key but busy Friday evening

Bit of a mixed night:

  • made and ate dinner with two friends - one very close, one from waaaayy back who is residing in a far-off land and just here visiting for a few weeks.  Breakfast-for-dinner theme of hash browns, tofu scramble, biscuits and mushroom gravy.
  • Went to radical poetry night at the collective downtown, in which the headliner was unfortunately unable to attend but we watched videos of them performing, some local poets performed, so it was still good times.  The little shop was packed past the capacity of the rows of couches and chairs, which is lovely in a community-support way but also stirred up mild crowd-anxiety and insecurity in me - but only briefly.  Mostly it was good.
  • Then went back to friend’s house for tea and we cleaned up the mess from making dinner earlier.
  • Then was walking home and one house along the way was very noisy.  Realized that it was a party I’d been invited to, so stopped in.  People were very noisy and drunk and silly, but there were friends I knew and I enjoyed myself briefly and then ducked out - perfect timing.
  • And now I am home!
